Temi Otedola, daughter of Nigerian billionaire businessman Femi Otedola, shared stunning wedding photos of her and her husband singer Mr Eazi, and fans are swooning.
The fashion entrepreneur and actress also changed her name on Instagram to Temiloluwa Ajibade, and is now taking her husband’s last name after hosting some lavish weddings in Monaco, Dubai and Iceland.
It is estimated that their wedding festivities could have been the most expensive weddings of the year. The couple hosted a traditional Yoruba wedding in Dubai, a private church wedding in Iceland, and a previous event in Monaco to celebrate their union.
At their wedding reception, Femi Otedola had an emotional moment when he shared a story about his family dynamic, and advice for his daughter. He said to his daughter in an emotional yet jovial moment, that Mr Eazi was now“now the boss“ and asked his daughter to respect her marriage, and honour it.
News and social media have claimed Otedola bought two mansions in Dubai to help celebrate the couple’s wedding, triggering some discussion about the sheer cost of the festivities. The couple’s wedding in Iceland had John Legend performed as a special surprise for the couple, which suggested the couple went on to host extravagant international festivities.
Temi’s decision to take on her husband’s last name has also stirred a lot of debate on social media, with some saying it’s a display of love and companionship between spouses, while others pointed out that it opens a debate about women’s right to either keep a last name or take a husband’s last name.
Instead of getting lost in the transition, Temi Otedola is still a relevant fixture within Nigeria’s fashion and film industry. Known for her style blog and acting in films like Citation, Temi now looks to adapt the oncoming creative facets of her career with her new responsibilities as Mrs. Ajibade.
