Mr. Eazi, whose given name is Oluwatosin Ajibade, an Afrobeats singer and a culture enthusiast, has put an end to claims about where the money for his wedding to Temi Otedola, daughter of billionaire and businessman, Femi Otedola, was sourced from.
Of course, the wedding was one of the most extravagant wedding festivities of 2025 and actually went viral. The wedding unfolded over three continents, Monaco, Dubai and Iceland. The wedding festivities included designer fashion, moments of cultural heritage and surprise performances from globally recognized musicians. When the wedding took place, it sparked a lot of debate about who paid for these lavish expenses – some speculating whether Mr. Ezi was partially funded by the music.
Mr. Eazi responded to the claims in August and came back with humorous responses, clarifying there are no connections between his newly released single, Cassanova, and the wedding expense. He said however that “you think music go give me enough money to pay for that wedding my G lol”. He explained that even at his peak of music streaming the earning of a single track would not come close to what took place at an event of that magnitude.
The wedding was executed in three stages. The civil ceremony in Monaco also honoured the late memory and legacy of Mr. Eazi’s mother. The partnership interpreters, with a more culturally specified section of Nigeria’s relationship with Dubai, include surprises with the portrayal and a little entertainment from the iconic King Sunny Ade. Temi shone bright in a Fendi Haute Couture wedding gown, while John Legend gave a surprise performance.
Mr. Eazi is now correcting the record by highlighting how the married couple’s lives have become so public, leading them to accept that public opinions are misinterpreted from how people live in real life.
This makes the Otedola-Eazi wedding a more permanent feature of pop culture, with greater significance, not only for its pomp, glamor, and spectacle, but also for fundamentally changing how people construct narratives about celebrity culture through rumors and speculation.
